I made this tutorial a long time ago but I just dug it up for Ravelry. I’ve made a bunch of stitch markers with this method and then all work great. I hope you get some use out of it!
You can use regular wire, but you will need to make a tiny loop at the bottom before threading your beads on. I used wire from a craft store that has a tiny disc on the bottom to stop the beads from falling off. Look in the beading area.
If you decide to use a jump ring just loop the wire around the jump ring instead of a pen pr pencil
