Better late than never!
I went to the Ann Arbor Fiber Expo last weekend… and LOOK what I got! You’ll see that I got roving… no, I don’t spin. Yet? I borrowed a spindle from a friend too, but I still have yet to figure out what the hell I’m doing. But LOOK AT THAT PINK! I love that pink. I forgot what it is, theres wool and something else… The woman I bought it from, CopperPot, was awesome and gave me some practice fiber too! I’ll probably buy from her etsy shop too. After I figure out how to do this.

I also stopped at a few yarn shops in Ann Arbor and came out with me very first skein of Malabrigo… yeah. I love it? Lots. I’m making a Birthday Cowl out of it. A friend of mine is making the same cowl with the same yarn too!
Speaking of friends… I met some people from Ravelry to go to this fiber expo with… and they are awesome! Lew and V both brought me (and each other) gifts! Below is my loot, too numerous to name, but if you visit them at Flickr I named everything.
Lew’s stuff is on the left and V’s is on the right. I made them mix CDs in return… had I known they were going to spoil the crap out of me I would have brought more!!
Anyway, hopefully I’ll get some shots of the Bday Cowl soon… and I also blocked Lace Ribbons! Oh my god. Its gorgeous. But no pictures! Its a gift for someone. Pictures later. I might not get much knitting done in the next month… I’m writing a whole novel in November. No, really.

You will love spinning. I started last week with spindling & just last night rented two (one for me & one for the husband who is also spinning with me) wheels. LOVE it! & it opens up so many more possibilities!
