To keep things short and sweet, I’m Julie, soon to be a Mrs. Julie. April 12! The days are fast approaching! I’m knitting a shrug for the big day, hopefully I get it done in time. I’ve only got two more weekends left!
I knit, crochet, cross stitch, sew, needlepoint and paint. And a bunch of other odds and ends when the need arises. I’m a well rounded artist/crafter. I have a gorgeous fiance, and a mean little cat. Well, she can be pretty sweet sometimes.

Hi there! I found your blog doing a search for “knitpicks options allergic nickel” and read your entry from 2008.
I myself am allergic to nickel so that’s why I’ve put off buying a set of these. I’ve not had trouble with the Addi Turbos, but I can’t afford a full set of those!
As your entry was posted in 2008, I was writing to follow up on that. How have working with the KnitPicks been for you? Have they triggered your nickel allergy at all or given you any reactions?
Thanks for any response! I’m anxious to order a set!
Best,
Jamie
Dear Julie, or Mrs.Julie now??
Im a knit student at the Winchester School of Art, Hampshire.
I was bumbling on the internet and came across your website, its really inspiring!!
How long have you been knitting?
I was just wondering, where do you go for your yarns? theres a pretty limited choice here in Winchester and I want to explore the more interesting and whacky stuff available on the market.
Also, I dont suppose you have or know of anywhere i could get my mitts on a knitting pattern for a corset??
Thanks!! Elly
I’ve been knitting for… 7 years now? I’ve lost count honestly! Definitely check out Ravelry.com if you haven’t already. I get a lot of my yarn from KnitPicks.com and at local yarn shops. Jimmy Beans Wool is also a good online store and so is KPixie.com. Also Etsy.com has TONS of hand made or hand dyed yarn.
For patterns look on Ravelry, you’ll find a bunch.
